About Diversity BBBEE

Diversity BBBEE offers support to clients in establishing and implementing effective BBBEE compliance strategies through a holistic range of services. We aim to partner with our clients in a long term relationship to establish and grow a sustainable and accurate BBBEE solution over a period of time.

Diversity BBBEE is a Level 1 BBBEE Compliant Entity, and is a 100% Black  Owned Company. We can contribute towards our client scorecards for:

​Our Value Proposition


The requirements of the Amended BBBEE Codes of Good Practice, and anticipated amended sector charters, means that companies must adopt a more proactive approach towards transformation to ensure compliance.

Our directors are involved in several initiatives, including Industry Sector Charter Alignment Committees; DTi and SETA liaison; etc. which means that clients of Diversity BBBEE will not only stay informed, but also can have a voice about BBBEE and transformation in South Africa at the level that counts.   

The Diversity BBBEE approach is to assist companies to:
  • Identify “what they are doing anyway” – In terms of transformation practices that may already be in place, but just not recorded properly.
  • Provide unique transformation solutions that will not only assist companies with their BBBEE scorecard, but will proof a return on investment.
  • Facilitate and manage transformation: Each company is unique, and depending on the company’s requirements, we can assist a company through ad-hoc advisory and facilitation; or manage and implement the entire process, allowing your business to “continue business as usual”. Our standard approach includes:

​BBBEE Status Analyses and Strategy

Diversity BBBEE will perform a high level status analyses to determine the potential BBBEE level that may be achieved should a company continue to maintain its current transformation policies and BBBEE expenditure.

The analyses will result in a high-level strategy document and strategy workshop session. This session may include:
  • Result of the analyses based on Status Quo
  • A glance at “what competitors are doing”
  • Proposed unique solutions and alternatives
  • BBBEE cost estimation (based on level that needs to be achieved.)

​BBBEE Implementation and Project Management

The Status Analyses and Strategy Session may result in separate or an overall solution that is detailed over several strategic interventions in a project and implementation plan. Diversity BBBEE will facilitate, implement and manage this plan, which will result in a successful BBBEE score.

​Compliance


The result of a company’s transformation achievement is measured through compliance. Compliance is therefore linked to several steps which requires some work. By utilising our skilled staff and associates, Diversity BBBEE manages our client’s transformation requirements by offering the following:

  • BBBEE Scorecard
It is important for companies to monitor and track their BBBEE achievements throughout a 12-month financial period. Diversity BBBEE will assist the company, by conducting monthly, quarterly or ad-hoc status analyses. This enables companies to measure how they track against targets and identify problem areas before it is too late. Often companies overspend in certain areas, and through pro-active monitoring, they can ensure that the cost of BBBEE is kept as low as possible.

  • BBBEE Audit Facilitation
The BBBEE verification Audit should be performed by an independent verification auditor. Diversity BBBEE can facilitate the process through file compilation; identification of problem areas and risk; writing of motivations and advisory during this process.

  • Skills Development and Employment Equity
Our competent Skills Development Facilitators; Training Providers and HR Specialists can manage the entire process of reporting and managing committees as prescribed in the Skills Development Act and Employment Equity Act. This is done taking the requirements and optimization of the BBBEE scorecard into consideration.

  • Training Accreditation
Identification and accreditation of vital skills will be accredited in line with the SAQA and SETA specific requirements. We also manage and implement the accreditation of Training Academies in South Africa.

  • Outsourced BBBEE
BBBEE is a business imperative for most companies. However, the cost of employing internal BBBEE managers is not necessarily in most company’s reach.   • Business Incubation:
Diversity BBBEE developed a detailed phased approach to ensure that SMEs are developed successfully. We do not encourage a straight forward “donation” approach as was the norm in the past. However, we identify the need for development of suppliers for our clients own supply chain, with the objective that after incubation, the beneficiary will become our clients’ service provider.​
  • Support to existing suppliers already in the supply chain:
Normally identified during the procurement analyses phase and support may be in the form of:

Call Centre fully manned by people living with disabilities

Diversity on call offers support to client in establishing and implementing effective inbound and outbound facilitation through a holistic range of services. With a team of 100 where 90% is disabled youth we are working towards bettering our skills, improving our processes, uplifting an encouraging our future leaders in creating and establishing a set focus on changing our world. The call center focuses on the integration of disabled youth into the workplace ensuring they are ready with a set of skills when being taken on by any corporate entity.
Our entrepreneurial and development center

The Campus focus specifically on enabling youth, manager and entrepreneurs to obtain relevant knowledge and skills to ensure success in future. Our focus is centred on:

Our deliver methodology includes accredited training, networking sessions, workshops, mentoring and coaching.

Transport and Logistics: Black Women in Transport Initiative

This project aim is to create a mechanism that will see the increase in the number of empowered black woman in transport, as well as all the additional benefits that will accrue to the company and the greater industry at large. The project incorporates the following main developmental focus areas:

  • Entrepreneurial training, mentoring and coaching

​Everything Creative: Marketing, Design and advertising


An incubator and platform for young graduates that falls within the Media, Advertising and Communications sector. The incubator provides opportunities for youth to continue learn about business management whilst still practicing their creativity. The incubator provides opportunities; infrastructure; marketing and business support and development.

​Recruitment with a difference!

The core of this incubator is the recruitment and placement of youth, people with disabilities, internships, and management levels. Our objective is to facilitate meaningful entrance and access to the work environment. We pride ourselves in our approach which is unique:
  • Client specific training and development of youth, learners, interns and people living with disabilities before integration into  the client workplace.
  • Ensure workplace readiness before integration
  • Monitoring, coaching and mentoring sessions held with interns and learners after integration to ensure a successful implementation
​Travel Agency

The Travel incubator supports black women participation in the travel industry. Services that will be provided includes but is not limited to:
  • Full travel agent services
  • Tours (History and Eco)

The incubator is in start-up phase and will launch by 01 Feb 2017.

Learnership and Skills Management
Successful implementation, allocation and management of learnerships and Skills Programs, will ensure the best BBBEE return on investment. Our focused approach includes:
  1. Correct demographic allocation of spend
  2. Sourcing, management and implementation of disabled learner projects
  3. Apply TAX incentives available from SARS
  4. Apply for Discretionary grants
